How It Works
Scenario Overview
Rick owns a 1974 Triumph TR6 valued around $23,000.
Alex owns a 1968 Mustang Fastback, valued around $26,000.
They agree on a trade: Rick’s TR6 + $2,500 cash offset = Alex’s Mustang.
Step-by-Step Trade Process
1. User Profiles & Listings
Rick and Alex create profiles, upload vehicle photos, list estimated values, and set trade preferences.
2. Discovery & Matching
Rick finds Alex’s listing through the match engine and proposes a trade.
3. Trade Proposal
Rick offers the TR6 plus $3,000. After negotiating, they settle on $2,500 cash offset.
4. Verification & Inspection (Optional)
Both opt for VIN checks and mobile inspections through KeySwapGarage partners.
5. Agreement & Escrow
A digital trade agreement is created. Rick places $2,500 into escrow.
6. The Swap
They meet locally at a Trade Zone event or a secure, mutually agreed location to exchange keys and titles. If Interstate, shipping arrangements are made through KeySwapGarage partners.
7. Escrow Release & Ratings
Alex confirms receipt. Escrow releases funds. Both users rate the trade and update profiles.
